What You'll Need for this Yogurt Bark Recipe:

This recipe uses simple ingredients and can easily be modified!

Ingredients:

  • Greek Yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • Berries
  • White Chocolate
  • Vanilla extract (if using plain yogurt)
  • Maple Syrup or honey (if using plain yogurt)

Equipment:

  • Rimmed Baking Sheet or Baking Dish (preferably 9 x 13)
  • Mixing bowl (if preparing with plain yogurt)
  • Large mixing spoon or spatula

How To Make Frozen Greek Yogurt Bark:

This recipe is so simple, that I would consider it a no-recipe! Spread the yogurt onto the baking sheet or dish (about a quarter inch thick). If you are using plain yogurt, mix the yogurt with vanilla extract and maple syrup or honey in a large mixing bowl, then transfer to the baking sheet.

Top the yogurt with the berries and white chocolate and then freeze for at least 3 hours or until the yogurt is firm. Instead of topping the white chocolate, another option would be to mix the white chocolate with the yogurt before transferring it to the baking sheet.

Once the frozen yogurt bars are nice and firm, cut them up into squares and serve!

Variations:

This recipe is vegetarian and gluten-free (make sure the manufacturing label certifies gluten-free on the ingredients. There is always a risk of contamination with gluten in certain facilities.

To make this yogurt bark recipe vegan, substitute dairy-free yogurt and dairy-free chocolate for the yogurt and white chocolate. If you are using plain dairy-free yogurt, use maple syrup for sweetening. There are more vegan white chocolate versions out there now, such as Enjoy Life.

For the toppings, use any berry of your liking. The addition of nuts or seeds, pretzels, and shredded coconut would also be delicious!

Ingredients

Instructions

Spread the yogurt onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, about ¼ inch thick. Sprinkle all of the toppings (see Notes 3). Lightly cover with plastic wrap or parchment paper.

Transfer to the freezer and chill for at least 3 hours or until frozen solid. Cut up into squares and serve. The yogurt bark will slightly soften and melt after about 5 minutes from the freezer giving it a more desired softness for eating.

Store leftover yogurt bark in an airtight container or sealed freezer bag for up to 3 months.

Notes

  1. If you use plain yogurt mix with one teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey, optional.
  2. You can substitute white chocolate chips for shredded white chocolate.
  3.  Other delicious topping ideas: shredded coconut, sliced almonds or other nuts, pretzels.
