This frozen yogurt bark is quick and easy, tasty, and kid-friendly! Need I say more?
Many have said that yogurt bark is a cross between frozen yogurt and rich chocolate bark. Well, if you're a fan of both desserts, this recipe is for you!
You may have seen this new and trendy food concept all over Pinterest. With so many varieties, try it topped with fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, or even pretzels! Make sure to eat it quick though because it may start to melt after 20 minutes out of the freezer. While this yogurt bark might resemble a Jackson Pollack painting, I promise it is also tasty! And if you want to try the cashew milk yogurt I used from Forager Project, you can read more about it here.
For this yogurt bark, I really wanted to try a dairy-free version. Plantbased diets are very popular right now and for good reason. When I say plantbased diets, I don't mean eating vegan desserts or processed foods all day because they state they are vegan. What I really mean is diets high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes. These foods have been shown to prevent risks for chronic health diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancer. These delicious foods may also optimize blood sugar control and lower cholesterol thanks to their high fiber content. If you want to try including more plantbased choices in your diet, try swapping in beans for taco tuesday nights or a favorite pasta dish loaded with seasonal vegetables!

PrintFrozen Cherry Chocolate Chip Yogurt Bark
This recipe takes only 10 minutes to prep! Place it in the freezer and voila! No baking needed! This is a fun treat for all ages and can be modified based on your food preferences. Keep in mind, parchment or wax paper is a must for this recipe.
- Prep Time: 10 min
- Cook Time: 1 hour
- Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
- Category: Dessert
Ingredients
2 cups unsweetened yogurt of your choice*
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
Zest and juice of one orange (I used a blood orange)
¼ cup dried cherries, unsweetened
¼ cup sliced almonds, unsalted
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon beet juice powder, optional (to add more color)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, vanilla extract, maple syrup, orange juice and zest. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
Pour the yogurt mixture slowly onto the baking sheet and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining ingredients on top of the mixture.
Gently place another sheet of parchment paper and lay flat on top of the mixture. Place in the freezer for at least one hour or until its solid all through out. Can also be frozen overnight.
Notes
This recipe can be made vegan using dairy-free yogurt (I tried a version with Forager Cashewmilk yogurt and it was delicious!), and dairy-free chocolate chips. Other fun toppings to try: coconut flakes, fresh fruit, white chocolate, and even drizzled with melted nut butter!
Also, make sure to eat this in under 20 minutes or the melted bark can get messy!
